The Brief

In 2013, the City of Atlanta started the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club to help Atlanta children strengthen their vocabulary, reading skills, and creativity during the summer vacation months. Led by the City of Atlanta and the Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students (GEEARS), the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club distributes over 15,000 free books to Atlanta students birth through age eight, and offers resources to help parents teach their children to read.

To kick off this program, the City of Atlanta needed a logo and branding to market the initiative.

Our Approach

As part of our partnership with the City of Atlanta and GEEARS, Lunch was commissioned to create the logo for this event, which has been used on t-shirts, stickers, flyers, and print programs (which we also designed).
